How can a year already have passed since the last Christmas at the Cabin? To begin with, I remember it like it was yesterday, which is surprising because I can’t remember what I did this morning. Gah.
I’ve been getting ready for the show. Preparing new art for gift giving. New this year are some tiny little original watercolor paintings that are actually still on my work table. I’ll be heading to the studio right after I post this to finish them.
I found the cutest little frame for these watercolors. They’re a little Christmasy and wintery in nature. Perfect for this time of year.
They’ll be packaged up in cellophane and tied up with a glittery bow. I’ve made 24 paintings. Perfect for those looking for ready made gifts at Christmas at the Cabin.
Above, are just a few of the newest note card sets I’ve put together from my paintings. Last year at Christmas at the Cabin, I sold more note card sets than anything else.
They’re perfect for gift giving, I guess. Hopefully, sweet notes of love, thank you’s and I miss you’s have been written in them. I don’t think people pick up a pen and write like they used to. It’s a shame.
Christmas at the Cabin – the 15th one!
Finally, here’s the deets about this very special shopping experience called Christmas at the Cabin. If you’d like to get on my invitation list, please join my email list here.
Sadly, Richard Hitch isn’t coming with his woodcarvings. Although we’ll miss him, happily we have a new artist! My friend and jewelry artist Eliza Jane Piazza will be there with her handmade metal clay jewelry line called Dharma Cowgirl. Her work is just stunning and I’m excited that she’s going to be there.
If you’re local, I hope to see you there. It’s my last show of the year. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family.

Learn more about me on the ‘About’ page under the additional links menu. I’m an artist – a painter mostly and an avid gardener. I paint a variety of subjects including birds, koi fish, my gardens, ponds and flowers as well as anything having to do with nature especially trees and tropical scenes. I also enjoy painting abstracts and have started created more and more of them. My most favorite thing to try to achieve in my painting is is mystery and telling mystical stories.
If you would like to keep up with what I’m doing, I have a newsletter e-mailed about once a month that gives you special status for invitations, birthday greeting and more. I’d love for you to add your email to my Friends and Collectors list!
