Voodoo Queen Marie-Evella Célestine.
She is my creation for Halloween 2013. I bought a pre-made dread locks wig and customized it with brown paint and beads, then added a hair scarf to get it up and out of my face. I used a scrap of burlap I had to make the voodoo doll. Think gingerbread man… cut it out and hand stitch.
To see a fun story I made up about her and to see all kinds of photos as well as links to my blog posts about how to produce the accessories and costume that I created, just scroll down to click on the link.
Please leave me comments and I’d be thrilled if you liked my post and wanted to share it. Just link back to me please ♠ ☣

Learn more about me on the ‘About’ page under the additional links menu. I’m an artist – a painter mostly and an avid gardener. I paint a variety of subjects including birds, koi fish, my gardens, ponds and flowers as well as anything having to do with nature especially trees and tropical scenes. I also enjoy painting abstracts and have started created more and more of them. My most favorite thing to try to achieve in my painting is is mystery and telling mystical stories.
