Today’s post is continuing with a project I’m sharing called 21 Days in my art world. The prompt is Current Challenge.

Please forgive the hashtags. This was taken from a post I made on Instagram where hashtags are a way to have your content more easily found. Getting found is the name of the game.

In this ever increasingly noisy digital world of ours one thing is certain. It is getting harder and harder to actually be found without paying money. It’s a pay to play format mostly. So this is another reason why I am taking my content that I put a lot of thought into (from Instagram) and sharing it here on my blog, where I don’t have to worry about any algorithms.

On to the Current Challenge. I’ve indented my actual post from Instagram to call it out easier.

A current challenge is today’s prompt from #21dayinmyartworld I’ve been putting this post off because there are a lot of current challenges but I try to keep a positive outlook on things. But a #currentchallenge and an ongoing one for me is organization. Perhaps a painting challenge is what was meant, but I find this organization thing more challenging to my entire life, not just my art. I could easily just chalk it up to my artist brain but I really think there are just some people that are naturally organized and some that are not. I am of course the latter. My friend told me it’s very natural to be disorganized because the universe naturally gravitates to organized chaos. That’s one theory at least. Order exists even in disorder. I think I seriously relate to that statement. It’s something I have to deal with on a daily basis and I don’t particularly like it, but find my tendency to revert back to organized chaos is how I function. Someone who is naturally organized have problems with this but I finally accept myself for how I am, and they can just not look at my messes. Which camp are you in? Btw this painting is a closeup of one of the paintings I’ve just finished. #jaimehaneyart

Here is the full size of this painting. Sometimes I like to show off a small portion of the painting that I’m fond of at the moment. I’ve painted three so far in the collection called Ancestral Lands and this is “Suddenly Quiet Stirring” from that series.

Learn more about me on the ‘About’ page under the additional links menu. I’m an artist – a painter mostly and an avid gardener. I paint a variety of subjects including birds, koi fish, my gardens, ponds and flowers as well as anything having to do with nature especially trees and tropical scenes. I also enjoy painting abstracts and have started created more and more of them. My most favorite thing to try to achieve in my painting is is mystery and telling mystical stories.

If you would like to keep up with what I’m doing, I have a newsletter e-mailed about once a month that gives you special status for invitations, birthday greeting and more. I’d love for you to add your email to my Friends and Collectors list!
