January has been an interesting and busy month for me. We had the full super blood moon earlier. Then, it’s felt like Mercury has been in retrograde with the problems I’ve had with my computer, phone and website. But it’s not been in retrograde.

Maybe it’s winter blues, but I can’t seem to get myself together. Although I have accomplished goals I’ve set for myself already for 2019, I’ve felt like I’ve been fumbling.

I’ve got big plans this year, plans I don’t intend on fumbling through. Sometimes, feelings of not being fully present hangs on for days. Have you ever experienced driving somewhere and when you get there, you have no recollection of any of the drive? It’s sorta like that.

That’s why it feels like fumbling. Some pretty intensive goals I set for myself have gotten accomplished, but it almost feels like it was someone else who was doing the work. Like I’ve gone away somewhere in the back of my mind where the shadows and dreams blur but it’s unsettling and comfortable at the same time. Unsettling because it is comfortable.

That’s the way it goes. I just feel like hibernating right now. We’ve had the coldest day. So cold, they cancelled school! Tomorrow there is a delay and then the temperatures are supposed to get higher than normal. Typical crazy Indiana weather. I wonder if the weather is feeling the same as I am? Hah!

I haven’t finished my latest painting yet, the blood moon painting. Here is a sneak peek at what I’ve got so far. It’s got some work coming but I love the texture I’ve added with a palette knife.

Finally, I just picked up my painting “Throwing Magic” from a local exhibit called Art: Posey Style! at Alexandrian Public Library and I’ll have it listed soon here on my site. Jeesh, I’m falling so behind, I don’t think I’ve even shared it with you yet, at least not here on the blog but I will, I promise.
