Blast from the past above… taken from 1993 at Daryl and I’s first hosted Thanksgiving Dinner when we lived in Kentucky. My Mom, Dad, Grandpa, husband and myself. Happy memories. I was 23 years old.
Thanksgiving is tomorrow. If only I had bought that bird last week. I didn’t buy my frozen turkey until yesterday. Yes I said frozen. It’s not a big turkey though, just under 13 pounds so I though surely that will thaw by Thursday, right? Right!?
I am always doing things like that. I have good intentions, but they usually are not accompanied with good judgement regarding time. I have a serious character flaw regarding time management. It is something I struggle with all the time. My mom was the same way. I’m not using that as an excuse, I’m just sayin’ the nut doesn’t fall too far from the tree. I hope my little nut fell from my husband’s tree because he has much better time management skills than I do. It is a constant source of frustration for him. So far, my little nut is looking an awful lot like my own nuts. Oh dear.
Anyway this story leads me to having good intentions about having a “Black Friday Sale” for my art. Well, I haven’t gotten around to doing the promotion I was wanting to do. I have been busy with making art. That and planning two large murals that I will soon paint, preparing for an exhibit for the month of December, also preparing for a 2 day Christmas show and as if that isn’t enough, I’ve been illustrating a children’s book, which I’ll tell you about very soon!
Here’s what I’m going to do. If you order a print of mine on Black Friday from my shop here (jaimehaney.com/shop) or my Facebook page you will save 50% off the print (does not include shipping). This is really a great deal, especially since my print prices are about to go up. Take advantage of this one day sale and knock out your Christmas list or get something for yourself. I’ll have more paintings in the shop so come back Friday to use this code at check out! DP6IO2JG6BZK
All marketing and promoting aside here… I truly wish for you all a wonderful Thanksgiving full of love, family and good memories. Let us give thanks for the many blessings the Lord has given us. Bless you all.
Love,
Jaime
