Glove 1992 – 2012 |
It pains me write this, but my sweet kitty Glove died in my arms last night just before ten o’clock. It was peaceful and I’m glad I was holding her as she drew her last breath. She was my faithful and loving companion for nearly 20 years. It feels very strange not caring for her this morning. I miss her but am thankful for her life that was spent along side of mine.
So sorry – 20 years is a long time even for a kitty – I had a kitty and a dog that lived for 19 years. Animals are wonderful to share your life with – people too – but animals just love so unconditionally!
So sorry you’ve lost your beautiful glove. I know the feeling. My chorizo (doggie 14 years) died in my arms. Hugs to you and I’m happy that you had so much time with Glove. There is no love like a family pet members love.

Sweet Jaime, I cried reading these last couple posts. Beautiful glove had a wonderful life with you. You will never forget her. But it will hurt less. We put my sweet kitty to sleep last year at only 14. I have two of my favorite photos of her on my fridge. I see them every day and they make me happy. I’m sure your sweet girl brought you much joy during your time together. That will always be part of you!

So sorry to hear about Glove. I know how hard it is to give them up. Our 18 year old Tabby also died in my arms a little over a week ago. I’m finding some photos to post on my blog about this wonderful fur child. Both Tabby and Glove were fortunate to have found loving homes and end their lives peacefully. I have two elderly cats…ShuShu and Baby Grrrrl and one 3 year old dog, Bogart. It seems with every loss, we are closing a chapter and starting over. Thinking of you and hoping your memories are comforting in the coming years.
