Happy Summer Solstice! (for those of us in the northern hemisphere) I thought this would be an appropriate painting to share on this special day. “All Ablaze” is my latest painting and I’m happy to announce it has been accepted in an exhibit and will be on display from June 30 – July 7. See my events page for more information.
I am just crazy about sunflowers. I always let the sunflowers grow that fall and sprout from my bird feeder. Just can’t pluck them out. I had several new varieties planted this year from seed, but something came up and chomped them off! A rabbit no doubt… *grumpling under my breath… furry little bastards. I need to replant them so I’ll have new flowers to paint.
You can see the creation of this painting here. I’ll be offering note cards and prints of this beauty soon. But for now, the original is for sale and you can purchase by using my online shopping cart which takes credit cards and Pay Pal. UPDATE: Painting is sold find similar prints here
Here are more views of the painting.
I wish you a happy Summer Solstice! Now go out and celebrate!
Learn more about me on the ‘About’ page under the additional links menu. I’m an artist – a painter mostly and an avid gardener. I paint a variety of subjects including birds, koi fish, my gardens, ponds and flowers as well as anything having to do with nature especially trees and tropical scenes. I also enjoy painting abstracts and have started created more and more of them. My most favorite thing to try to achieve in my painting is is mystery and telling mystical stories.

It’s beautiful, Jaime. Good luck in the exhibit. This cheery piece is sure to be a hit! Happy Summer and be nice to bunnies.
