Wednesday, October 26th from 5:30 to 7:30 I’m teaching an in person leaf printing class! I’m really excited about it. It’s being held in the Wabash Room at Alexandrian Public Library and the cost is just $35 per person. That includes all your supplies, just bring yourself! Suitable for any skill level even if that means none. I’ll be teaching you the skill you need! You can purchase a ticket here on my website.

If you’re local or willing to drive, I’d love to have you join me in person as I demonstrate how I create my leaf printing paintings on canvas. I’ll supply everything you need to create and finish your very own 8″x10″ Leaf Print project on canvas. You’ll leave with a lovely piece for you to display in your home all season long or even all year! (I do!)

Using acrylic paints we’ll work step by step as I show you the process. I’ll share tips and tricks I’ve learned along the way. We’ll create beautiful patterns and colors. Then, I’ll encourage you to use your own creativity once you get the hang of what I’m teaching to make the piece your own.

I created the leaf print painting you see in progress here on a light weight board and used metallic paints. I just love metallic paint sometimes and this project is perfect for it.

Below is the finished leaf printing painting I did titled “Forest Floor”. It’s one of my favorites and I have the original framed and hanging in my home. It’s a piece I’ll live with forever.

I used metallic paints for this one, like I said it’s my favorite. I do offer prints of this painting, if you’re interested, let me know. I’ve neglected to put them on my website but I think they’re even in stock. Creating a lot of art throughout the years, even I’ve managed to forget about certain pieces and getting them in my shop.

Oh hey, if you want to be notified whenever I’ve got a class coming up, make sure you sign up for my art class emails. I’ve got a separate list for teaching called Exploring Art with Jaime and you can get on it here. I’ve got big plans that I hope will happen in the near future that I’ll share another time. Soon, I’ll be getting some online courses/classes for people to take from their own home.

Well, that’s it in a nutshell. The leaf printing & painting class is less than two weeks from today. Click here to get tickets and find out more like the address and a link for Google Maps. I hope to see you in class!

A few paintings I’ve created

Learn more about me on the ‘About’ page under the additional links menu. I’m an artist – a painter mostly and an avid gardener. I paint a variety of subjects including birds, koi fish, my gardens, ponds and flowers as well as anything having to do with nature especially trees and tropical scenes. I also enjoy painting abstracts and have started created more and more of them. My most favorite thing to try to achieve in my painting is is mystery and telling mystical stories.

If you would like to keep up with what I’m doing, I have a newsletter e-mailed about once a month that gives you special status for invitations, birthday greeting and more. I’d love for you to add your email to my Friends and Collectors list!
