Recently I’ve found another fairly local place to display and sell my art, Jennings Street Public House. It’s a restaurant and bar in Newburgh, Indiana. The owners are super nice and big supporters of artists. I’ll bet there’s art from 20 different artists up at all times. Locally owned businesses are the best!

In fact, I’m finding that it’s the local joints that are most supportive of artists. Other small business owners. Those who understand what it’s like to be the only one responsible for the life or death of your business. I’m so grateful to these restaurant owners, bar owners, coffee shop owners, etc. for helping other small business owners.

Art in the community is important. There’s been studies that prove a vibrant art district brings needed money into the community through tourism. It aids in the well being of residents as well. The arts play a critical role both socially and economically in cities and towns all around.

Jennings Street Public House offers a few different arts. There’s the art by artists like me on the walls. There’s the art they have in their bar like the music shows, comedy shows. Finally, there’s the art of food and drink like local craft beer. It sounds like a great combination to me, doesn’t it you? I’m wishing they were a little closer to me, they’re about an hour away. I love a good comedy show.

So, I’ll have my art up through the first week of February 2022 and maybe longer. However if I sell a painting, I’ll replace it with a new one. Let’s hope I make several trips to Newburgh to put up new paintings to replace sold ones. Below are my two painting right next to the entrance. If you’re want to buy one or both then let me know. If you don’t want to go to Jennings, I can arrange to get it for you.

Inside walls of Jennings Street Public House

Jennings Street Public House is located in the old Tin Fish location. (They did so well, they had to build a larger building). It’s a block off the riverfront. If you’re a resident or a local, you’ll notice they share a parking lot with the Old Country Store. Sadly that’s now gone. I used to go there with my mom and we’d buy herbs and flowers.

With this in mind, go check out all the different art they have hanging on their walls. It’s all for sale! Support the local artists!

Here’s what I’ve got there right now:

Learn more about me on the ‘About’ page under the additional links menu. I’m an artist – a painter mostly and an avid gardener. I paint a variety of subjects including birds, koi fish, my gardens, ponds and flowers as well as anything having to do with nature especially trees and tropical scenes. I also enjoy painting abstracts and have started created more and more of them. My most favorite thing to try to achieve in my painting is is mystery and telling mystical stories.

If you would like to keep up with what I’m doing, I have a newsletter e-mailed about once a month that gives you special status for invitations, birthday greeting and more. I’d love for you to add your email to my Friends and Collectors list!
