I snapped a photo of my palette because I thought it was pretty. I mix most of my colors using a limited palette. Isn’t it cool the way the tones change from one side to the next?

This painting came to me and was finished pretty quickly. Sometimes it’s just like that, where other times it seems like I labor over them.
A little more tweaking and color refinement, then I was finished. This was a 12″x12″ acrylic painting on canvas.

It sold the day I finished it! I tend to post more frequently on Facebook simply because it’s just more convenient from my phone. I also use Instagram here lately. My buyer, a collector of my paintings already, was quick on the draw and was watching my posts on Facebook and so she was the first to ask to purchase. I love it when that happens!

I’ve just finished another painting earlier today, a landscape of a foggy morning with a tree, a meadow and a fox hiding in the grasses. I paint a variety of subjects including birds, koi fish, my gardens, ponds and flowers as well as anything having to do with nature especially trees and tropical scenes.
