First I want to say that I’ve added a lot of new content to my tips to become a working artist page here on my website. If you haven’t seen it yet go and check it out. Whether you are an artist who is looking at how to get into selling your art and getting online or if you already have an established base and just want to check out and see what I know, haha. Maybe you have a son or daughter, niece, nephew, grandkids… whatever that has interest in selling their artwork this page offers a lot of free ideas and tips including apps I currently use and courses and programs I’ve paid for.
Next, I’ve been adding more artwork to my online shop here on this site! I’m slowly getting there. What with taxes still looming over me, Asher’s birthday this week and small get together of his friends this Saturday (oh boy!) trying to finish this sofa painting I haven’t even shared with you yet, all the freakin’ snow days we’ve had and getting ready for my shows ramping up starting next Saturday (the 21st & 22nd!)!! Whew! I’m just exhausted sitting here typing this out.
I wish there was a link from my brain to the computer. That way I could get everything done while multi-tasking. Yikes, that’s a scary thought.
I do want to share with you a pillow I sold this weekend. Jeesh, I don’t think I’ve even shared that my artwork is now being offered on home decor objects like pillows and duvet covers! It’s so fun! Let me show off a few…
Oh and here’s the pillow that just sold this weekend. Raven Festival. Which the original painting, a 12″x12″ is still available here.
Here are the newest additions to my store here on my website. My mono-prints. I’ll be adding to these for sure. Don’t they look snazzy all framed up and pretty? These matted 5×7’s are the perfect size for a side table, desk, counter or hanging on the wall as a grouping. I can think of a ton of places to display them.
Mono-prints are a terrific way to start collecting original art! They are a bargain price and a steal when you consider each one is a one of a kind, hand pulled and sometimes individually embellished (like the red bird or the addition of color to the koi fish, both below)
I will share the newest painting I’m working on with the next post. It’s a whopper! For me at least. Three 20″ x 16″ canvases together to form a triptych. You can see a sneak peek on my Facebook page if you want to see it early! Or check back here tomorrow. See ya then!
If you’re new to my blog and website have a look at my ‘About’ page in the menu at the top. I’m an artist – a painter mostly. I paint a variety of subjects including cranes, ravens and crows, flowers as well as anything having to do with nature especially trees and tropical scenes. If you’re interested in my art, I have a newsletter mailed about once a month that gives you special status for invitations, birthday greeting and more. Sign up here for it.
Great pillows! My favorite is the raven. Very nice!
Hi Lindy! It’s so great to have you drop by and comment. I’m not surprised that raven is your favorite, thank you so much!
