This year I’ve come up with a new idea for my yearly art calendar, a Paint Palette Calendar! I’m pretty excited about it. It’s twelve months worth of different paint palettes that I’ve used for various paintings.
I came up with the idea while thinking about how some people like to support artists even though the style of that artist might not be their cup of tea. That might sound a little harsh, but hear me out. I had a friend tell me long ago who regularly attends art and craft shows that sometimes she might just like the artist and want to support them even though she doesn’t want their offer. That has always stuck with me.
So, while looking though my very large archive of photos, I started to notice my paint palettes and the idea came to me. Why not offer something to someone who might not necessarily want my paintings on their wall. I think it’s a win win. I think I’m on to something with that concept because I’ve had someone buy it sight unseen. See… they wanted to give their support. Now I have something of value to offer them, too.
Plus, I think these paint palette calendars are kinda spectacular. They’re modern, edgy, creative and contemporary. Who wouldn’t want a little creativeness on their wall all year round?
