First I should say Happy New Year! I’m so thrilled to announce I’ve got new gallery representation at Inman’s Picture Framing in Evansville, Indiana! This is in addition to Hoosier Salon in New Harmony, Indiana.

Last year, I met Jessica and Mike Inman through a friend of mine, artist Lori Rivera. She has been exhibiting work there for about a year I guess, and selling work there I might add!

Jessica and Mike are super nice people and very talented at what they do. Take for instance this piece below, Free Spirit. I painted this a year or so ago on watercolor paper. It’s fairly large, at 22″x30″ and it’s been finished for a while, but just hanging in my studio because I just didn’t know what to do with such a large painting on paper. You run the risk of it warping when you mount any paper piece on a sturdier substrate like wood for instance. So for a piece this big, I was just too scared I’d screw it up.

Just look at the finished piece! I’m so beyond thrilled. They did what was called a dry mount and then matted it. I’m so happy with it and will definitely have them do it to all of my paper pieces from now on. Matting the art just elevated it so much. Add a perfect frame and that will be a showpiece in any home, at least I think so ha ha.

These are examples of more paintings on paper that I’ve taken to Inman’s. They’re relatively small, so we’re leaving it up to the potential buyer how they want the final result to look. Below, is (l-r) Sunset Blues, 9″x12″ leaf printing painting in acrylic and Underneath, 9″x11″ acrylic painting.

Below, are the diptych paintings titled Blue Jean Angel. This photo was taken on my studio wall, but they’re available now at Inman’s.

I also have a Beach Crow Muse and Worth the Wait displayed and for sale there.

While I love having an online shop to sell my artwork, nothing really compares to seeing a piece in person. I feel so fortunate to be able to sell my artwork both ways.

If you’re in Evansville, stop by Inman’s and see all of the fantastic art they have in their gallery. Or if you have something you want to be professionally framed, they’re the perfect spot.

In other news, I’m missing Zoey like crazy. Everything seems different and sad without her sweet face in my life. I know, I’ll never get over losing her, but with time it should ease.

In better news, I’m slowly getting my artwork listed in my new online shop JaimeHaneyArt.com. I’ll be removing my shop here on jaimehaney.com as soon as I get everything listed. But my blog will stay put, right here.

I have an exciting project going on along with everything else that I haven’t mentioned yet… I’m starting a podcast with my friend Lori Rivera! More details coming soon.

A few paintings I’ve created

Learn more about me on the ‘About’ page under the additional links menu. I’m an artist – a painter mostly and an avid gardener. I paint a variety of subjects including birds, koi fish, my gardens, ponds and flowers as well as anything having to do with nature especially trees and tropical scenes. I also enjoy painting abstracts and have started created more and more of them. My most favorite thing to try to achieve in my painting is is mystery and telling mystical stories.

If you would like to keep up with what I’m doing, I have a newsletter e-mailed about once a month that gives you special status for invitations, birthday greeting and more. I’d love for you to add your email to my Friends and Collectors list!
