On my last post I said I was thinking of painting daffodils next and I’ve done just that. The painting isn’t quite finished yet, I don’t think, but here are the progress photos of my painted daffodils I’m calling “Early Girls”.
Here I’ve blocked in colors below and have started defining the painted daffodils. By the way, this is an 8″x10″ painting on canvas.
And here (below) is where I’ve left it. It’s coming together I think. Someone, a fellow artist, suggested I not add any foliage to it, to keep it just like this. I told him I would consider it. I understand what he’s saying. There’s a certain rawness to the painting that I like. I haven’t decided whether it’s finished or not.
What do you think?
Thanks for visiting. Come back to see what I do. Leave me comment as to whether you think it’s done or not. I’d love to hear.
About Me
Learn more about me on the ‘About’ page in the menu at the top. I’m an artist – a painter mostly and an avid gardener. I paint a variety of subjects including birds, koi fish, my gardens, ponds and flowers as well as anything having to do with nature especially trees and tropical scenes. I also enjoy painting abstracts and have started creating more and more of them. My most favorite thing to try to achieve in my painting is mystery.
