Print of a wooden ship “Ghost Pirate Ship”.

This print is a reproduction of my watercolor painting of a wooden ghost pirate ship being tossed around on the turbulent sea and stormy weather after having lost it’s marauding crew. Arrrr… It will forevermore be sailing the seas haunted by the ghosts of its pirate shipmates. Threatening skies looming overhead in this moody painting. Think Pirates of the Caribbean!

I’ve always been attracted to old wooden ships like this. I remember growing up as a child in my parents home there was a small replica of a ship and it had the words Niña on the base. Of course now I know it was one of the three ships that Christopher Columbus had on his first voyage. There was also a huge ‘sofa painting’ over our couch with turquoise and yellows behind dark Spanish ships silhouettes. Visions of the sea and mermaids have always sprinkled my imagination and memories. I still enjoy those things today.
