Mmmm… homegrown red tomatoes. One of life’s great pleasures. I’ve heard that tomatoes grown in the Midwest have a better flavor, something to do with the dirt. I’m not sure about that, but mine are always delicious. Nothing makes me happier in the summer than seeing a bunch of red tomatoes on the vine ready for picking.
Lots of Red is a contemporary painting of freshly picked and perfectly ripe heirloom red tomatoes. They are ready to be devoured, don’t you think? Rich and vibrant hues of burnt umber, smoky orange, yellow and a touch of violet grace the background. I can imagine this printed quite large, what a statement piece for your kitchen! (or wherever!)
This painting is part of an open series. I’m keeping them related to one another by using similar backgrounds and harmonious colors throughout. This would look lovely in a kitchen or dining room by itself or as a grouping.
Many sizes available, just contact me.
The original painting was square (and sold), so the 8.5×11 print will be centered on the paper and will have a white border. You can trim the paper to make it square yourself to fit in a square frame or simply use a frame in the paper size or smaller. (for instance, an 8×10)
Ships within 3-5 business days if in stock, for back orders please allow 7-10 days. US only currently, please contact me before purchase if you’re wanting to ship out of US.
Important Print Information:
This listing is for a Fine Art Print “Giclée” or an Economy Print – You select your choice.
- My Giclée Fine Art Prints are Museum Quality and have the authentic “look and feel” of high quality watercolor paper that are produced with Somerset Velvet paper and Epson Ultrachrome professional archival inks. All Giclées include a white 1″ border unless you request otherwise upon checkout. This allows for nice fresh look when framed. The Giclée is printed on paper that is 1″ larger than your chosen size unless you request otherwise at checkout. You will need to trim the paper to fit your frame, there are trim marks to make this easy or use your frame glass as a template. I suggest framing your print to protect it and ensure your enjoyment for years to come. If you choose to include a mat with your Giclée, then I will trim it for you and it will arrive ready to frame.
- Economy Prints are made using an electrostatic digital imaging process. They include a generous white border which mimics a mat. Economy prints should bring you many years of brightness and pleasure if you make sure to keep the art out of the sun or any bright light. It is best to frame them under glass or plexiglass for protection and longevity.
- Please contact me if you have any questions. 812-783-0399.
- Listing does not include frame.
