Quiet as a Feather… Organic Abstract painting suggesting autumn flowers.

Rich and warm colors of rust, plum and teal with touches of metallic gold. This painting is special because it’s painted on a tea bag and then mounted to a chunky canvas. But that’s not the only thing making it extra special, the title does as well. If you love poetry, you may recognize a line from one of my favorite poets, Mary Oliver.

Tea has been my drink of choice as far back as can remember. I remember making tea at age 7 at my grandmother’s house. Tea is part of my studio practice ritual along with incense and music. Many work in process photos show my always present cup of iced tea.

Organic and natural. Texture on all sides.
