“Cinnabar Nights of Love 1” is a reproduction of my romantic fantasy painting of a Sarus crane. A Sarus crane on a red abstract background looking for its mate. This is the second painting of the set. I painted them so they would be facing one another.

In India, Sarus cranes are considered symbols of marital fidelity, believed to mate for life and pine the loss of their mates even to the point of starving to death. That tugs at my heart.

About the painting Cinnabar Nights of Love 1: A Sarus Crane standing in a red tropical abstract fantasy landscape setting with droopy palms, curly ferns and large jungle leaves. I call this painting Cinnabar Nights of Love 1 and it is part of a series titled Exotic Recollections. There is a companion painting to this called Cinnabar Nights of Love 2 and they look lovely together.
