“Warm Release” art print
Warm Release is a high end reproduction of my original acrylic abstract painting of warm glowing sky with fall leaves falling from branches. I get inspired when I paint by what is going on around me and at this time it was early fall as I sit in my garden swing and felt the warmth from the late afternoon sun on my face. The first of the falling leaves dotted the ground soon to be covered. I want to hold on to times like these and not let go. Not ready to give up my comfortable place in the sun for sitting inside and looking out the window away from the cold.
For this series of paintings, my process was a little different. I collected leaves that were just right. Then I use the leaf as a stamp on my painting, getting all of the unique veining and organic shapes permanently kissed on my canvas. I know from trial and error when leaves are “just right” and can tell by feeling the leaf. If I wait to late in the season, they’re too crispy.
I’ve tried to preserve leaves that I want to use for future paintings with mixed results. The best outcome is from freshly fallen leaves so this makes the paintings more of a seasonal project and more rare. I’m not always able to collect the leaves or paint when the leaves are ready. So, I only have a few paintings done this way.
I painted Warm Release as part of a series called Windswept, the others being Autumn Bouquet, Night Moves and Summer Memory. They look beautiful together and would be statement on your walls all together. I am painting more for this series, so check back for new work. The original painting has sold but here’s Night Moves, still available from that series.

This listing is for a Fine Art Print or an Economy Print – You select your choice of sizes.
• All prints include a white 1″ external border for easier framing. I do recommend using your local framer, but if you want to frame it yourself you certainly can. You will need to trim the paper to fit your frame, there are trim marks to make this easy or use your frame glass as a template. I suggest framing your print to protect it and ensure your enjoyment for years to come.
• Economy Prints are made using an electrostatic digital imaging process. They include a generous white border which mimics a mat. Economy prints should bring you many years of brightness and pleasure if you make sure to keep the art out of the sun or any bright light. It is best to frame them under glass or plexiglass for protection and longevity.
