Painting 1 – Day 1 of 30 paintings in 30 days challenge titled “Purple Reign” 8″x8″ Sold, prints available.
Today is the first day of the 30 paintings in 30 days challenge and I’m sliding in with just a couple hours left in the day. Typical. I did get a bunch of panels prepared though so hopefully the next week or so will be smoother.

Today, like most times, I painted with nature in mind. Our woods to be exact. When I go in the woods I look all around and that includes up. So before the leaves fell, I was out walking in our woods with my camera and looked up and saw this beautiful formation of transparent leaves. There were branches criss crossing everywhere and they had gigantic leaves, of course they were not purple but I am taking advantage of my creative license so today they are purple.

I hope you are enjoying the first day of the new year! It’s been kind of a crazy day today but I’m glad I painted today and plan to paint everyday for the month of January.
