Just last Friday I finished this new koi fish painting of two koi swimming in swirling teal waters. It’s a commission but I am offering prints for it in a few sizes.

I love painting koi fish, I’ve painted a few on various things like terra cotta pots, patio tables and I’ve made art block prints with them. I have the art block prints still available. Also, remember the one called Harlequin Dance? I sold that, but do have prints available of that one as well. This painting was based on it. There are so many paintings that I haven’t put on my website yet it’s ridiculous. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

Even though I created many koi fish, they all turn out just a bit different. They all have different personalities, just like in real life. You know I have a koi pond, right? Wanna see? Cause I love to show it off. Click here to see it.

I think Mocee, my tuxedo cat, was waiting for these koi fish to jump out of the water so she eat them! Well she does love the Ocean flavors of her Temptations treats so I guess she’s a fish eater.

I titled this newest koi fish painting Swirling Water, Fast Hearts. I’ve made a link to the prints for this painting by just clicking on the photo below.

Ta Da!

I can’t believe it’s almost Thanksgiving here in the US. I’m hosting dinner for our small family this year and I haven’t even started to clean the house and it’s a wreck. Who has time to clean when there’s painting to do?!

But really, it’s just getting together that makes the holiday special. As I get older and the family has gotten substantially smaller I’ve realized how precious the time with loved ones is.

Happy Thanksgiving.

I paint a variety of subjects including birds, koi fish, my gardens, ponds and flowers as well as anything having to do with nature especially trees and tropical scenes. I also enjoy painting abstracts and have started created more and more of them. My most favorite thing to try to achieve in my painting is is mystery.
