I can’t believe I’m finally getting to where I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Studio Gardens has been a work in progress for what seems like forever. A dream forever, that’s for sure.
If you don’t know, Studio Gardens is the garden area in my back yard under my deck and in front of my greenhouse and most importantly my art studio. From there I have my Shangri-La view into a magical world I’ve created for myself (with the help of my husband and son for the heavy stuff). Fully equipped with a koi pond, rock/waterfall and 11 huge koi fish. Not to mention all my plants and plantings I have out there in the summer.
My goal is to someday have Studio Gardens as my main entrance for my art studio where I hope to have open studios for friends and collectors. Maybe someday even I’ll have workshops and/or artist’s retreats in there where I can share the beauty of the lake and property with kindred souls.
Enough introductions! Here is the video with more to come as I progress. I would love it if you wanted to comment or share.
If you’re new to my blog and website have a look at my ‘About’ page in the menu at the top. I’m an artist – a painter mostly and an avid gardener. I paint a variety of subjects including birds, koi fish, my gardens, ponds and flowers as well as anything having to do with nature especially trees and tropical scenes. I also enjoy painting abstracts in the form of expressionism. If you’re interested in my art, I have a newsletter mailed about once a month that gives you special status for invitations, birthday greeting and more. Sign up here for it.
it’s looking amazing J. 🙂 T.
Thank you T! I’ve just got done walking around down there and checking to see if anything needed watering. We’ve been having a heat wave, like many of the US. Today was 103˚ with the heat index. That’s pretty hot around here, but at least it wasn’t real humid. It makes the plants thirsty. You’re in California now aren’t you T?
So glad to see you pop in! -J
Jaime – wow! Your Studio gardens are beautiful, and from what I could see of it, so is the lake! Posey County is one of the prettiest areas I’ve ever seen and I’ve done a good bit of traveling. Thanks for sharing your dream and the awesome job your family has done it making it tangible. I’d either get LOADS of writing done in such a setting, or I’d be daydreaming a lot, lol!
Thank you so much Angelia! I’m building all of this because I love it but also for painting inspiration. I’m right there with you… I’ve not got much painting done though yet because I’m out here daydreaming! ha ha! This hot weather though will change that and I’ll be daydreaming and painting inside looking out. Thank you for taking time to visit my blog and commenting. I hope to see you again soon!
Love, love, love, love, love this! Plus, you’re so cute doing your narrative! 🙂
Thank you Anne! I’m so glad you stopped by to see it.
