I have a group art show called “Winter to Spring” exhibition running from Saturday February 8th through March 28th. I really should’ve posted this a lot earlier, but better late than never. Anyway, the opening reception at Hoosier Salon New Harmony Gallery is tomorrow from 4 pm – 6 pm.
This is a good time to come in see the local art and talk with the local artists who have created it, including me. There will be snacks and typical drink selection. I’d love to have you come by and say hi and talk a bit if you’re in the area.
Three of my newest paintings are included in the “Winter to Spring” exhibit. The exhibition features local artists – all members of the newly formed Southwestern chapter of the Watercolor Society of Indiana.
My newest collection (above) is called “Ancestral Lands”. Three separate but related paintings exploring color and pattern. You can see my process for these paintings on my post here.
These three paintings are available for sale through the gallery for as long as the exhibit runs which is from February 8th through March 28th. Snacks and wine are served. Come to see the art and stay in town to eat at one of the wonderful restaurants we have here in New Harmony. It would make a nice Valentine’s night out – go out now and escape the crowds and stay home then.
New Harmony boasts a few nice restaurants: MaryScott’s Kitchen (delicious all the time), The Red Geranium (Classic fine dining, get a reservation), Sara’s Harmony Way (great wine shop and food) and The Yellow Tavern (who has a really good pizza! But take cash, no credit cards).
I hope to see you there!

Learn more about me on the ‘About’ page
under the additional links menu. I’m an artist – a painter mostly and
an avid gardener. I paint a variety of subjects including birds, koi
fish, my gardens, ponds and flowers as well as anything having to do
with nature especially trees and tropical scenes. I
also enjoy painting abstracts and have started created more and more of
them. My most favorite thing to try to achieve in my painting is is
mystery and telling mystical stories.
If you would like to keep up with what I’m doing, I have a newsletter e-mailed about once a month that gives you special status for invitations, birthday greeting and more. I’d love for you to add your email to my Friends and Collectors list!
