For the month of September (which there’s not much more of!) I’ve got an art exhibit at Alexandrian Public Library. I dropped the ball on writing about it here on my blog. Actually, the month flew by. So there is still today and tomorrow if you’re local.
Great news, if you’re not local here’s some photos of my hanging the exhibit. Now that my husband is retired I have my own entourage… hahaha. Well not really, but he is there to help and take photos which is so helpful.
I’m actually going Wednesday morning which is October 1st (!) to take the exhibit down. I do have another exhibit set for the same place in December. December will be extra busy this year because of it.
You may or may not know that I’ve kept a blog now for 16 years. This post is my 958th! I can’t believe how fast time has gone by.
I just stopped and thought about it as I was uploading my art exhibit photos there in the exhibit hall of Alexandrian Public Library. Thinking wow, did I already post this? No, I hadn’t. But I have exhibited there many times.
The people are very nice there at the library when I’m setting up or taking the exhibit down. I’m grateful to be allowed to show my artwork there. I don’t seek out exhibits quite like I did. Sometimes it’s because the opportunities aren’t as easy to come by and partly because I’m honing in on where my artwork will hopefully resonate with people who view it. That’s becoming more important to me.
Authenticity
I’m going through changes as I get older. Not only physical but mentally in my artist brain. I think more about intention and painting with authenticity. I’m currently focusing on my own authentic self and what that actually means.
Time changes the way we think.
Learn More
Learn more about me on the ‘About’ page under the additional links menu. I’m an artist – a painter mostly and an avid gardener. I paint a variety of subjects including birds, koi fish, my gardens, ponds and flowers as well as anything having to do with nature especially trees and tropical scenes. I also enjoy painting abstracts and have started created more and more of them. My most favorite thing to try to achieve in my painting is is mystery and telling mystical stories.
If you would like to keep up with what I’m doing, I have a newsletter e-mailed about once a month that gives you special status for invitations, birthday greeting and more. I’d love for you to add your email to my Friends and Collectors list!

What a cute photo of you and your husband. I love that you’ve exhibited at your library so many times over the years. Libraries are the best (and libraries and art…).
I was way behind in reading your blog posts and feel bad I’ve missed so many. I just noticed the subscribe to the blog and need to do that now. I enjoy seeing what you’re up to. (Didn’t find the bus yet and I really need to get back to work).
Hugs!
Aw thanks Anne! Daryl was a big help. I adore our library. It’s amazing the things that you can check out now. Like physical items and also the subscriptions to online magazines, music and movies and so much more! They even recently have it so we can get a family pass to our local zoo. They are the best resource around in my opinion.
I just looked for the bus too and couldn’t find it either. I’ll have to dig my photos up and make a post about it. Or I could just walk my lazy self over there and take new pictures, haha. That’s actually a better idea, I’ll bet it’s changed so much. Time has a way of wreaking havoc on things left to the elements.
Thank you for visiting and I totally understand about not visiting more often. I try and make it to yours, but time gets away doesn’t it? Sometimes I feel like I’m just out here taking into the ether so it’s really nice that you do come back now and again. I appreciate it. And thank you for subscribing. ❤️ Happy Holidays, see you soon!
